Senior Event Planner

Currently seeking a full-time Senior Event Planner who will be responsible for hiring, training, managing and overseeing the Project Management team who are in charge of all operational aspects of the events. The position requires working full-time out of the Boca Raton, FL office and also requires 30+ days of international travel - mostly in the winter months.

Job Description:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Event & Site Manager with a focus on resort and cruise based events. Oversee all project management and the main liaisons between the Event and the Cruise. Direct the event sucessfully from conception through completion 
  • Implement the use of technology for Project and Event Management
  • Develop relationships with strategic partners 
  • Work directly with Business Development, Production Manager, and various Department Heads to coordinate and execute the overall Vision, Logistics and Site layout including Staging, Room and Venue Setups, Offices and Production areas, Branding & Decor, Food & Beverage
  • Implement new strategies and oversee all Departmental Advancing and Logistics
  • Oversee all department heads including Production Manager, Activities Director, Artist Liaison, Marketing, Creative Director, Merchandise, Security, Medical, Travel & Customer Service
  • Oversee Staffing Coordination
  • Oversee Manifests, Customs, Shipping Logistics, Warehouse Storage & Inventory, Permits & Rental, Wristbands, Credentials & Collateral
  • Site Inspection Coordination 

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years of relevant Event Planning and/or CMM, CMP experience required with a background in the resort and/or cruise industry
  • 5+ years of Management Level Experience
  • Must be professional and comfortable dealing with high-level executives
  • Must have exceptional communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Must be confident with problem solving and have the ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work under pressure & make high level decisions
  • Must be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and all basic technology 
  • Bi-Lingual Prefered (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with CAD programs preferred
